I was working on my website when I saw a message on FB from a friend I knew in Dallas, Texas, Essie Farley. She mentioned she did not know I had moved from Texas, and was now living in Michigan. I knew Essie several years ago in Texas. When it was announced in church, there would be a prayer ministry meeting on Monday nights. I agreed to attend, and we began our prayer warrior ministry. Another person who lived in the neighborhood attended our prayer group. She mentioned that the women’s prison did not have visitors, I agreed to be part of the prison ministry also.
Essie had told me that she had written a. book and I thought I would market her book on my Website. So that is how I begin to create this “How Prayer Can Help” page. In fact it was just what I needed at the time she reached out to me. She told me I would be able to get it online or in a local bookstore. I was able to read a few pages before I placed my order on Amazon.
I praised God for Essie reaching out to me at time in my life where I needed it the most. Especially God knew that her book was just what I needed to read to lead me back to depending on him and not my humanly short ability and emotions.
What does Prayer has to do with it?
I was dealing with an 85-year-old uncle who had broken his hip and had Demetria on top of that, I was having a day where I did not want to deal with him anymore and was ready to place him in a nursing home.
But after communicating with Essie, I realized God wanted me to focus on him and not what I consider a problem I was facing., I was so thankful he pointed me to Essie’s book. It helped me to understand that I cannot do the task on my own. God had the power to take control and allow him to work through me for his glory. I praised God and continued to rely on him to carry me through the care of my uncle. II was not easy. I had to stop reacting
Thank you, Essie, for knowing others are facing storms on a daily basis and sharing just what Prayer has to do with the greatest part of getting us what we need as we go through the storms in our lives.
Dr. Essie Farley
Dr. Essie Farley is the author of “How Prayer Can Walk You Through the Storms of Your Life.” She is a 30-year social worker and nursing home administrator who wrote “How Prayer Can Walk You Through the Storms in Your Life” to prove that praying is the key to a successful life. This extensive research advises readers to trust God’s timeline. The journey may be difficult, but all rainstorms have a reason. Therefore, I encourage all who need to get through their storms in life to see how prayer can help walk them through them. I prayed it was what I needed, just at the right time in the storm I was going through
Doctor Farley states, “Prayer is a daily encounter with God, the King. He wants to be in your life. God knew your sorrow before it happened and when it would stop. Trust God’s promises. Your life will change forever.
“God has given us all we need to succeed. Life is not about enjoying sunlight every day; we must face the hard things to appreciate the good and the terrible. We must learn to question God, ‘Why am I in this storm, and what is it that You want me to learn from it?’
Spiritual Storms are Difficulties, Tragedies, or Disasters We Face!!
When we are faced with Spiritual Storms, we are facing what is a difficulty, tragedy, or disaster situation in our lives. We should stay in prayer with God and let God reveal the meaning of the storms. Storms may make or break us, depending on our response. God’s children train via storms. Storms mold us into who He wants us to be. Expect a fantastic God-journey.” Dr. Farley’s study shows that God uses sorrow, failures, and disappointments to refine His children.
“God has given us all we need to succeed. Not with standing, life is not about enjoying sunlight every day; we must face the hard things to appreciate the good and the terrible. We must learn to question God, ‘Why am I in this storm, and what is it that You want me to learn from it?’
Spiritual storms are difficulty, tragedy, or disaster. Stay on board, and God will reveal the meaning of the storms. Storms may make or break us, depending on our response. God’s children train via storms. Storms mold us into who He wants us to be. Expect a fantastic God-journey.”
